SAN JUAN BATANGAS: Mt. Daguldol Climb and Sea Adventure

Mt Daguldol is located in San Juan Batangas and the jump-off point is in Brgy Hugom. You will pass by Laiya beaches going here.

We got here by private car via SLEX and Star Toll exiting Ibaan then left to San Juan. If you use Google Maps just search for Brgy Hugom. There are safe parking areas from the small village with rest houses where the trek will start.

If you will commute, take a bus going to Lipa either from Cubao or Buendia Terminals, then ride a jeepney to San Juan then another jeepney from San Juan to Brgy Hugom.

We paid a Guide fee of 400ph for the 4 of us and 30php for the climb fee.

We bought Andok's lechon manok and rice for dinner and canned goods for breakfast because we plan to stay there overnight.

And we started the climbing adventure.

Resting Huts
Found this this funny sign to Naambon Falls
There were also horses and goats along the way.

It took us 4-5 hours to get to the summit.

We started setting up our tents upon arrival at the summit. It was cold and foggy.
Mini Picnic
The View

We had our night socials but please don't leave any trash there.

The next day we started going back early so that we could swim to the beach as well.
We passed by a house with a beautiful garden selling buko juice.

Mt Daguldol is a minor climb at 672 MASL but as a beginner with no proper training and exercise it was a bit of a challenge nevertheless I survived it and you can too if you are like a lazy bone me.
Down the mountain, we paid 50 to this beautiful rest house for us to be able to take a bath but before doing so we first enjoyed the beach.

The water is clean, the shore was a bit pebbled and there were corals too. It was raining when we went for a swim but it was so nice to take a dip in the sea after a tiring climb.

Some Tips

  • If you plan to stay overnight at the summit you may also opt bringing cooked food already that don't easily get spoiled. It saves time and effort for cooking
  • If you have food left-overs, you can feed it to the dogs at the summit
  • If you see a local there at the summit, greet them and offer food
  • Bring garbage bag for your trash and don't leave it there
