PORO POINT, LA UNION: A surprising Grecian experience at Thunderbird Resort

We went to Thunderbird Resort Poro Point for a company practice team meeting, and I thought this place is just really worth sharing. I have no idea what this destination would be like as I have never been to La Union before and I never researched about it.

We traveled by bus for around 7 hours as I remembered eating our lunch on the go. It was all worth it though because when we arrived, this blue and white structure presented itself and the moment we alighted from the bus it felt like we were in Greece. The place looks like Santorini. The place looked so cool and relaxing.

The ambiance was really great, the staff were hospitable, friendly and accommodating. The food was served in buffets and were mostly delicious. The place has landscapes, bay walk, beach shore and a swimming pool.

We have seen a light house while walking towards the beach.

There is one surreal thing you wouldn't want to miss if you go here and that would be the sunset.

 Some Tips
  • How to get There: To get to the resort, take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) then drive to Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx). Take the Urdaneta Exit then get on MacArthur Highway and on Pennsylvania Avenue.
