BATANGAS: The Pico Sands Hotel Experience

I came here for another company team meeting and it is a great place to visit because it is just 2-3 hours away from Manila. We went there by bus and passed by the Tagaytay route where we got stuck in traffic. You may want to consider this place for a weekend stay because aside from your staycation there are a lot of fun activities to do here with your family. Some type of activities are walking around the lake in the afternoon, watch the sunset, swim in their beautiful swimming pool or if your kids want to play with sand then you can ride their coaster and experience the beach.

Pico Sands Hotel is nestled in Hamilo coast, Pico de Loro Cove Barangay Papaya in Nasugbu Batangas. The hotel staffs offered us welcome drinks upon arrival and they were really friendly and accommodating.

While waiting for dinner to be served, we got to play bowling. If you have kids there is also a play place and billiard tables. The B&B serves snacks and appetizers at the Billiards and Bowling Hall.

They also have these big conference rooms which we used for our training and meetings. We even had videoke here after the meeting.
The choices for the rooms are  Lake view and Mountain view.
The swimming pool is nice and vast. There are many lounger seats around it where you can enjoy sun-bathing.
The guests are allowed to the beach however there is a specific part where only beach and country club members can access. You can do kayaking and they even offer tours where you can go to the different coves of Hamilo coast. The water is clean and the sand is incredibly white and fine.

Amazingly, at the beach at night there are bars where you can hang out and drink

They also have massage services at the hotel which I availed and costed 850php

Some Tips

  • Since we came here for a company meeting, I did not pay for anything you can visit their website for rates, inquiries and reservation: http://reservations.picosandshotel.com/reservation/showFlexible/21248/ if you book in advance you may get cheaper rates
  • It is more ideal to take the Cavitex route as there is less traffic, then stop by the Kaybiang Tunnel and take pictures
  • It is best to get a residence accommodation so that you can cook, otherwise they have restaurants in the hotel which I reckon would be pricey. The fast foods outside the hotel are quite far.
