PALAWAN: Puerto Princesa City|The Birth of all my travel adventures


It took seeing and experiencing Palawan for me to have that yearning to discover what else are there if I travel more. As a newbie blogger I would like to start from where all these travel escapes which I am going to write about really all began.

 This adventure birthed from a random impulsive booking (thank God) plus the eagerness to have bonding and quality time with friends. Simply browsed if there's a  ticket sale and voila the price was very low, booked it right away around a month prior to travel date for 8 pax. As the travel date approached, some of my friends started to cancel, we ended up 5 pax on the actual dates and still pushed it thru. We boarded airphilexpress at that time (March 2012).

Upon Arrival
We booked our hotel (Airport View Pension) thru Agoda for a very cheap price of 750php++ per night 2 pax per room for 3 nights. This hotel is now closed and was acquired by Natua Cabins. It is the most convenient choice not only because it was affordable, but this hotel was just right beside the airport.

 Upon arrival, I was surprised that the destination was a city contrary to what I was expecting about Palawan where I would see the beautiful beaches right away but still I fell in love with the place and the food and how you can walk and meet other tourists as well as locals. The tour packages are very well organized and consistent. We booked for the Half day city tour when we arrived, the Underground River tour on Day 2 and Honda bay tour on Day 3 inclusive of the transportation and buffet lunch as well as for the island hopping adventure.

  • Binatuan Creations Handloom Weaving - here the weavers would demonstrate how it works and give you a chance to try to do a hands-on of weaving so it is cool

  • Crocodile Farm (Palawan Wildlife and Rescue Conservation Center) - you will find crocodile skins and skeletons showcased on their gallery as well as live crocodiles in different sizes



  • Cathedral - I love going to churches when travelling as I could get to see the beauty of architecture


  • Mitra's Ranch - this is a big park with Zip Line and very good place to take photos
  • Baker's Hill - there's a bakery here where you can buy freshly baked pastries and bread and pasalubongs


  • Plaza Cuartel - used to be a Japanese garrison during world war II

Some Tips

  • Travel in groups of at least 4 to 6 pax as it is more cheaper
  • Get accommodation in the city there are many restaurants and foods to try and bars to hang out at night
  • Read other blogs that will give you more details about the place you are visiting
  • Opt choosing arranged tours because all prices are consistent across Puerto Princesa, this option is less stressful and convenient

Mt Daguldol is located in San Juan Batangas and the jump-off point is in Brgy Hugom. SAGADA: 2018 Travel Guide and Itinerary

Sagada is a town found in the Cordillera Mountains in the Philippines. I have been here thrice and I keep going back because of its cold-misty weather, the organic food they serve in every restaurant, the crazy-long drive going up to the mountains, the endless trekking and of course its rich culture and history.  Sagada was submerged underwater millions of years ago proven by seashells found on the walls of the caves. From what I have heard, the natives also known as Igorots are very strict in preserving their town meaning they do not let non-Igorots buying lands or setting up businesses in the area. BULACAN: A quick and relaxing getaway to Leticia's Garden

If you are looking for a 2-hour getaway from Manila with just relaxation, a breath of fresh air and family or barkada bonding in mind then head over to Leticia's Garden Resort and Events Place. The resort address is 333 Pulilan Regional Road, Santo Nino, Calumpit, Bulacan.  To go there via private vehicle, use Waze or Google Maps. Exit Pulilan from NLEX, turn left when you see this sign, in 4kms you will see the place on your left. There is however another way passing by Malolos if you wish to do a side trip, just take the Guiguinto exit. In Malolos, there are a lot of food trips near the Capitol and universities (BSU and CEU). It is also where you will find the Barasoain church. If you will commute, take a Victory Liner bus from Monumento going to Olongapo or Apalit then get off Calumpit Junction or Calumpit Public Market, from there, ride a jeep heading to Pulilan and tell the driver to drop you off to Leticia's Garden. MALABRIGO LOBO BATANGAS: A Nearby Solitary and Budget-friendly Destination

The requirements for this adventure was specific - quiet, uncrowded, nearby, budget-friendly and crystal clear water beach destination. Given that this family getaway was on a Black Saturday  it was a bit of a challenge. Gladly, we achieved all of the above in a town nestled in the outskirts of Batangas called Lobo.  How it became budget-friendly was because we travelled as a troop consisting of 14 adults and 6 kids squeezed in a 16-seater Toyota Grandia van we rented for the cheapest price because the driver was a kumpare of one of my cousins. (P6000 including fuel and driver) How to get there To get there by private vehicle, we literally just used google maps. CAGBALETE: 5 Things To Do at Nilandingan Cove

We planned this trip for my birthday and we were so blessed with a very nice weather for the month of July. As it was off peak, we had the entire island resort all to ourselves hence we really maximized relaxing and enjoying our stay. Nilandingan Cove  is a beachfront resort located in  Cagbalete Island, Mauban, Quezon Province, Philippines. According to the owner, (as far as I could remember) the island was originally owned by 3 spanish priests and it was called Nilandingan later on because it is where boats dock and conducts trade in the past. Davao 2018 on a Budget

This travel accounts my first time setting foot to Mindanao, in Davao and so far the farthest I have been to in the south among my travel experiences. As you read thru our adventure that follows, I would be sharing some of the budget tips we exercised during this trip. Clark International Airport for First Timers

Our trip going to Davao were full of first-time experiences. It was my first time experience boarding from the Clark International Airport, my first time to fly with PAL and my first time to visit a city in Mindanao. We chose to depart from Clark because the fare was cheaper. Our round trip ticket to Davao costed us P1800 only.  To get here via private vehicle, we conveniently just used Google Map or Waze.  Do not worry as there are many signs pointing to the airport's direction, you will not get lost.  Please allow 3 to 4 hours of travel time in case of traffic. There are also P2P buses available as another option to get here. See bus schedules here . The fare ranges from 250-350 depending on where you will come from and where you would drop off. Isla Reta in Davao: An island anyone would surely fall in love with

Instead of Samal Island, a friend who grew up in Davao suggested we visit Isla Reta in Talicud Island, as she always say, Samal is overrated. So,  we made this our first stop in our Davao adventure... From the airport, we rode a cab going to Sta. Ana Wharf  (cab fare P160), this is  where boats going to the island would depart and dock.  Before leaving the airport we were given this complaint sheet in case we encounter any negative experience from the cab driver, good thing our cab driver was nice and friendly. Boat fare from Sta. Ana Wharf going to Isla Reta was P150 and from Isla Reta to Sta. Ana Wharf P80 only as we boarded a bigger boat going back to the city. We passed by Samal Island and thought it was our destination, the white beach looks inviting from our view.
